Prior to the actual construction, Crossroads Hall studied different styles of walls. Knowing that this building will be here for quite some time, we wanted to incorporate energy efficiency wherever possible. Using ICF walls brought our insulation value range from R-13 and R-19 for most wood-framed walls, to R-17 to R-26 allowing us to keep the thermostat turned down in the winter and up in the summer, giving us great savings with the heating and cooling. Safety is another key concern for our customers, and ICF walls are designed to have high wind resistance to keep all of our customers safe in stormy weather. The other contractors working on our building enjoyed working with the ICF product as it was easy to put wiring through as well as easy to attach the drywall and siding too. Our thanks to Mike Evinger and Evinger Construction, Inc. for showing, explaining and working with us on these ICF walls. It has been the best decision we made in our construction of the building.
